Effectively planning my lessons is one of the key elements in having an organised and successful day of learning. Additionally, planning my lessons in an effective sequence assist me in being able to successfully teach a topic, and help to achieve the best progress in learning for my students. I plan my lessons thoroughly according to the AusVELS requirements, and take into consideration the abilities of my students, where they are at and where we are working towards, and look for opportunities to incorporate ICT into my lessons. In addition to planning each lesson, I also write myself an overall day plan, which incorporates some brief notes on each lesson, reminders, and other things that are happening throughout the day to ensure I am completely organised. Ensuring I am confident with the content that needs to be taught and having a detailed plan are essential components for running a smooth day.
